Just spent 1 hour waiting on our food. They weren’t even busy. We’ve been going there for years but don’t think we will ever go back.

Superb food! Service was great! Visiting from Illinois. Waitress gave us some pamphlets and info about the area! Would definitely come back!

Great food and drinks at Buckeye lake. Close to the state boat ramp. Easy access for boats and vehicles.

Down to earth place! The staff was really nice and informative. The food was great and not over priced.

Been here twice. First time, staff/waitress in bar said “you can sit but it’s going to be a long time before we can get to you”, restaurant approximately half full at the time and only 3 of us in the party at that time. We left and ordered to go somewhere else. 2nd time came with a group of 8. Restaurant 3/4 full. All staff members acted overwhelmed anytime seen/interacted with them. Only got half our food. Server reported only missed half the food because half the check printed for the kitchen. Didn’t received 2nd half of food. Left 1.5 hours after we ordered food without 2nd half of orders. Will not return.

All the waitresses talked to you whether they were serving your table or not. We got the island bread. It was good.

Poor service and gross place all together

Our party ordered drinks, then took waitress 45 minutes to take food order. Everyone ordered a Hamburger and fries. 1.5 hours later was told our ticket was lost and NEVER got our food. !

Amazing portobello chicken open face! WHOA. This is an unassuming lakeside place on Buckeye Lake, but SRSLY, the food is great. Cold beers, awesome service...shout out to Sierra from the Cecchinis... and real nice folks at the bar, too.

Got off my neice and nephews pontoon and seated at a table of fantastic food. Meal was amazing and did not have to wait long for food to be served. Our watress was so sweet and efficient. My first time eating at the Island House and definitely will not be the last time. The only issue that the five of us had was the board walks from the pontoon to get to your establishment. Boards are loose and can be easily tripped walking on them. A little scary !!

Okay well I've been there twice and haven't been impressed either time... This time I had to watch a stray cat that basically was dying right in front of me while I was eating... I don't think I'll be back sorry

They were way busy for the Saturday Winterfest however the friendly staff was on top of everything and brought our drinks in a timely manner

Ate at the Island House for the first time this past weekend and the food and service was WONDERFUL however there was no place to go in the outdoor seating to get away from the cigarette smoke. We would LOVE to make this a regular stop for our weekends at Buckeye Lake but won’t be able to bc we have pregnant daughters and they, nor us, want to breathe smoke while we are eating. It would be a great idea to make the lower level of the outside dining the smoking zone so we all don’t have to be eating smoke with our meal.

Very good quality hamburgers and above average in there portions.

The staff is awesome and the prime rib is amazing, had to fight my kids off so I could eat, weve never had a bad experience here, whether you drive and walk up or boat in from the lake you wont be disappointed

We called and said they would be open and when we got there the service was horrible, the waitress that finally came out said the cook was ready to quit and there was no food available. We leftand ordered food from somewhere else.VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Not very many options on the menu. But, what i did order was amazing and the hospitality of the staff was even better! Wish they had more local craft beers though

This place is a very nice and clean they have great food and the girls that run the place are very nice and sweet. Must try there stake it is amazing

I view The Island House as the fine dining choice on Buckeye Lake. They have bar food but also higher end choices. They also usually have live music on the weekends.Their channel is deeper than the others which is nice for boat access.

Dining yes. Never had the fine.Bar food good, atmosphere dated...Travel by land or sea, docks are good, car parking limited, Scooter Trash use the back door step over the Hippies...Smoking outside still allowed

Great food and atmosphere!

We've been here a few times by ourselves or with friends. It's kind of a dark dive bar, which we like, but the food was just okay. It was the usual pub grub, but not anything unique and so outstanding we would crave it. Still, the service was friendly! Nice there are boat docks right there.

Great food, live music every Wednesday and Friday-Sunday, great place for boats to pull up and walk right up, highly recommend!!

Great food and service

We had a good lunch. We had a cheesburger and salad with steak. Fries were excellent. Only complaint is the deck needs more umbrellas

This is a hidden gem that serves good food at a great price. John the owner is a nice guy who seems to always be there and the food is top notch for a meat eating keto chowing guy like myself.

4 grouper fingers cost me 9 bucks .really
